I wish all of you a happy and prosperous year of 2013. For several years I have recorded the Fireworks in my hometown, Seltjarnarnes, Iceland. The fireworks in the Reykjavik area was almost the same as in previous years. It didn=91t last as long as sometimes before. The recording is a little shorter than expected. As the wind was sometimes rather storng the mics fell. This recording started at 23:48 and finished around 16 minutes later. Two R=F8de NT-2A were used in an AB-setup. The microphones were covered with a furcode from R=F8de. The recorder was Nagra Ares BB+. The photo was taken by my wife, El=EDn =C1rnad=F3ttir. You might also find the next recording on the page interesting (Fri=F0argangan 2012). I used binaural mics to record a quire marching down the main shopping street in Reykjavik on December 23. http://hljod.blog.is Arnthor Helgason |
