When faced with the choice between good quality free recordings and good
quality recordings that are not free, I think they would be foolish to pay
for them.
If the quality difference is enough to justify the price, so be it. If not,
spend your money on other things to improve your video project.

copyright issues?
So many producers in the video business disregard the value of good nature
recordings and want a free lunch.

after some good quality, clean audio of subjects like birds and / or
crickets etc that I can use as background sounds to a video project that I'm
working on. Evidentally, many audio recordings are protected by copyright
and are not allowed to be reproduced or broadcast so I'm wondering if there
are any exceptions to this.
