Hi Nature Recordists,
I want to share with you two new releases of mine which might be of
interest to the group.
First is "El Yunque" published by Impulsive Habitat.
This 2 hour + piece focuses on the coqui choruses in the El Yunque
National Forest in Puerto Rico. It is freely available for download in
full resolution FLAC and MP3 at Impulsive Habitat's site.

El Yunque was recently reviewed by Cheryl Tipp for The Field Reporter
at http://thefieldreporter.wordpress.com/2012/09/06/180/
The next release is "The Slaughterhouse" published by Gruenrekorder.
This piece follows the processing of a head of beef at a facility that
does it's work by hand, one animal at a time. I fancy this recording
as a different perspective on Nature and nature recording, as well as
a possible companion to a recent essay.
CDs are available from Gruenrekorder at
http://www.gruenrekorder.de/?page_id=3D8187
I should also have about 20 copies if you are interested in picking
one up in USD.
Listen at http://soundcloud.com/dmichael/hogs-arrive
"Toward a Dark Nature Recording" at http://bit.ly/NYY56h.
Email me for a pdf copy if you are interested.
Thanks for listening!
David
