http://www.bythom.com/hdmivideo.htm I bought the Sound Devices PIX240 and tried it out with my camera today. Th= e Audio quality is as good as any of the 7* series recorders. This short ex= ample is of a spotted towhee on a nest site calling from 35 feet up a tree.= The audio was an MS system comprising of MKH 40/30 microphones. The PIX 240 has phantom power. Fabulous little unit even if you just use it= as an audio recorder. Hope you enjoy...
