Can you resolve speech sounds?

It occurs to me that members who are used to listening to birdsong and othe=
r natural sounds may be especially capable of resolving sounds of speech. I=
 would like to test this hypothesis using vowel sounds (A, E, I, O, U, ) fr=
om an Italian speaker.
If you are willing to spend time listen to a series of clips totaling well =
below two minutes, please contact the writer by direct e-mail. Listeners wi=
ll hear in three samples common, simple, words in Italian.
Please inform me if you are of Italian descent and/or if you know or speak =
