New York Times Book Review heads up

Subject: New York Times Book Review heads up

This Sunday, the New York Times Book Review will do something they've
never done before. As many of you already know, my new book, The Great
Animal Orchestra: Finding the Origins of Music in the World's Wild
Places, was published March 19th, by Little Brown (Hachette).

What's notable is that very few nature-related books ever make the NYT
Book Review section. And absolutely no books related to nature and
soundscapes have ever made it. But this coming Sunday we make some
history since my book is the lead story, front page of that section.
Of the 425,000 books published in the US each year, only 52 make the
lead article in the Sunday book section. Here's the link: http://www.nytime=

More to the point: Each and every one of you on this list has a voice
in that narrative and have contributed immeasurably to the outcome. So
you all can be quite proud of the result.
