Thrush in Devon

The common thrush is not prized as much as it deserves for its song. I
think it is as varied as the rare nightingale, even if it im still
common in most parts of Britain. They seem to be thriving here in the
South West.

My mic tent is wired up to my bedroon with 100 metre cables, so I can
push the button easily if there seems to be anything interesting,
which there hasn't been recently. The dawn choruses are still
winter-weak. I've had a few nights clear of wind and rain so I just
ran to see what happened and I found this in several hours of
recording.

The track is called: The Thrush and Pheasant

The pic of my setup is given on this link but it won't play properly
on my own web page. I think there are bandwidth issues.
