Hi Peter,

Note that the (internal) 5V can only be measured when no microphone is conn=
ected to recorder. Due to to current that is drawn by the connected PIP-pow=
ered mic, it just normal that the voltage accross the microphone connectors=
 drops. However, the voltage should not drop too much. I guess that the rem=
aining voltage should be at last somewhere between 1.0 and 1.5 V or so, but=
 I have not much practical experience with such PIP mics...
