They sound a bit higher pitched than Australian ones.

How come you spell it Papa New Guinea instead of Papua New Guinea? Is that a 
local spelling? I googled it and see that it's not uncommon, but couldn't find 
an explanation for the difference.

neighborhood and this is no exception. These raucous birds come in and compete 
for fruit from the canopies and let you know they have arrived.
