Sox might able to do what you want. It's a command line program described a=
s "the Swiss Army knife of sound processing programs". It can be difficult =
to work out which switches you need to use, but there's a mailing list with=
 very helpful members.=0D

dear all,=0D
I'm working on a huge sound library and I have thousands of wav=0D
files recorded/edited with different programs. All them can be read by=0D
well-know editing programs, however I need to produce a set of clean wav=0D
files with no comments or additional info inside, just the header and the=
=0D
wave data as in the basic format definition (this is required for reading=
=0D
them with Matlab and other custom made analysis programs).=0D
=0D
Can you suggest a software able to check the files and fix or clean them ?=
