Thanks very much for that, I'll have a look at the sonogram tonight.
I get the impression from your recording that it's not that loud, perhaps the
equivalent of a House Sparrow chattering loudly, although I might be wrong -
not sure how one can get an impression of loudness with nothing to compare to.
But I felt that Tom's recording was of something distant and loud, mainly
because of the amount of reverb. If it's not that loud then it would have to be
fairly close, and I think therefore shouldn't have so much reverb?
Anyway, hopefully the sonogram will give a definitive answer.
I've also posted a link to the recording on the frog.org.au forum. There should
be frog call experts on there who can id it.

cavity of my house in NSW, last summer. I have added an extract of
