hi,

as part of the 'boredcast' project for AV festival, i'm putting together a =
special edition of 'a quiet position' based around the concept of slowness =
- durational / stillness / slowly moving sound & music.

pieces will be broadcast online as high quality mp3's & also archived on th=
e WFMU website (available as mp3 stream).

so, i'm asking you all if you'd be interested in contributing long form rec=
ordings - please note that as with all editions of 'a quiet position' the a=
rt of field recording / extended listening must be an essential part of the=
 work.

The deadline is 20th November 2011 but the sooner the better please.

pieces should be in 44.1/16 wav or as high quality MP3 formats.

duration: there is no limit to the duration of the piece as currently there=
is enough space in the project for hours of content.

also, every year the 'in place' blog runs lists of peoples 5 favourite soun=
ds heard in the past year (2011 in this case). This year, as well as the li=
sts, there will be an edition of 'a quiet position' featuring recordings of=
some of those sounds from anyone who's managed to record them. This will b=
e available as a free download & soundcloud player (the embed code will be =
available to anyone who wants to place it on their own site too).

the deadline is 20th December 2011.

recordings should be sent in 44.1/16 bit wav format.

duration: no more than 4 mins.
