Hi all,

thanks to some invaluable info found on this forum, I have taken the plunge
into the world of nature audio recording & picked up a Fostex FR2-LE field
recorder and 2 x Audio Technica AT4022's.

Based on the research I have done & after listening to many audio comparisons,
I think I'll start off with a parallel boundary array similar to one of these -

As I'll be taking the kit away into the South-East Asian forests for a few
weeks, I would like to make an array that is as light & transportable as
possible, yet won't be easily damaged. Has anyone got any suggestions on what
types of materials could be used which are reasonably light weight, yet strong?
Is it basically a question of finding something suitable that will create a
sound barrier no matter what it's made of?

Thanks
