Lucas has some wonderful insights, Jim. Especially the signal shifting
idea in bird-vox reception and processing that may explain how certain
avian species might be creating artificial bandwidth after the
fact...a missed feature when concentrating on the decontextualized
signatures of individual birds or other critters (that may be doing
something similar). His thesis is an important element of my new book.
