I found the confirmation message in my spam folder. The recording is edited highlights of a 90-minute recording from 4:55 AM (nautical twilight) through 6:25. Encircled by two freeways within less than a mile, the hilltop is bathed in a continuous roar, but the wildlife works at making itself heard. I especially like how the mockingbird mocks the American kestrels near the beginning of their sequence. The on-page search didn't find it (maybe not indexed yet), but the on-page Google search for 'bernal hill' will. Tech: Rear channels of a Zoom H2, gain Medium-110, on a photo tripod with a knit cap for a windscreen. -Dan |
