Hi Too much recording, too little editing. Tonight I sat down and pulled out a short section from an overnight recording taken at Shindagin Hollow in beautiful Ithaca, New York. The recording was made in mid-May at about the height of the Spring migration. In addition to quite a number of bird species, there is a small chorus of American Toads and Spring Peepers (peeepers!). The rush of water over a beaver's dam is audible. It's all quite diffuse and dense :) http://soundcloud.com/dmichael/shindagin-hollow-dawn-chorus For the recording I used a Danielson pseudo-SASS with AT4022's feeding a DR-680. The rig was left overnight at the edge of the hollow. Thanks for listening! David |
