Thanks to you and to "G" who sent me a link to the H1 manual pdf.

There is no reason why the H1 should be poorer than the H4n.

I am using H4n and LS-11 for the test recordings at
http://www.telinga.com/gallery/gallery_private.htm

I will buy a H1 for test, but I am certain that it has about the same
category of mic input as the LS-11 and H4n.
