http://naturesound.org/?p=3D510 One of the obvious signs that the season will be soon warming up is the sou= nd of the swainson=92s thrush. The swainson=92s thrush doesn't really start= to sing until late may but it arrives this time of year and announces its = arrival with the unmistaken =93whit=94 call. One of my favorite summer arri= vals along with the multitude of swallows that says I can take off my therm= als finally and get my summer clothes ready. You very seldom see this bird as it is extremely secretive in the newly fol= iated shrubbery. This was recorded on my property in Washington.
