Hi Ray, I have a pair of HD 280 Pros and I love them - very comfortable, good audio quality and excellent isolation from surrounding noise. They mainly get used for listening at home or when recording from the car however - most of the time I use cheap lightweight ones when out in the field, either Sony MDR-W08 or Sennheiser PMX 60 - they're much easier to carry and work well enough to set levels and monitor the position of sound sources in the stereo field. All the best, Tom On 9 May 2011 19:24, rayb <> wrote: > > > I'm using a pair of Target $9 headphones for field use and it's about tim= e > I upgrade. > > I'd like some suggestions as what to buy as the definitive field > headphones.
