Nice one! 'Tis the season for rattlers here in CA; my brother had some kids= from the school we both teach at out on a hike the other day and they had = a near miss with a big rattler. It actually coiled and struck, but the kid = had heard it and moved away. Your recording is really "in your face" as the= y say. Scary... I'll play it for my students; they'll love it!
