June 20 - 23, the Earthfire Institute in Tetonia, Idaho, is sponsoring a soundscape ecology workshop that I will be leading. The Institute is an awesome site that rehabilitates wolves, bear, and other fauna located on the Western side of the Tetons (about 18 miles across from Jackson Hole), in a valley rich with natural soundscapes. As part of the workshop, I will be introducing the thesis of my new book, "The Great Animal Orchestra: Finding the Origins of Music in the World's Wild Places," scheduled for publication in January, 2012, through Little Brown. The workshop is limited to 8 participants. Contact: http://ea= rthfireinstitute.org/ for more information.
