Martyn's Robin recording reminded me of a similar recording I made in Huntington Beach California. This recording has a few "pretty bird" calls in it that are very similar to those given by the Phainopepla. My notes of the recording are: "An American Robin singing in the dark. Note the song sounds different from those of the Arizona American Robins. This recording matches a recording made of a visually identified Robin singing during the day at the same location. (Recorded by Jim Morgan, Huntington Beach, CA, 6/13/01, 4:08 am" http://soundcloud.com/fundador/1508-1-35-133-am-robin-sing-in Best regards, Jim Morgan Prescott, Arizona USA |
