A newly issued free Lite version of the Avisoft-SASLab sound analysis softw=
are that provides a number of fully functional sound analysis tools was rec=
ently introduced.
Interesting aspects of this software might be the spectrogram window with i=
ts clipboard export functionality, the Metadata menu, the command File/Spec=
ials/Georeference .wav files and perhaps the real-time spectrogram command =
File/Real Time Spectrogram on the main window. The Sound Card Settings dial=
og box also includes a sample rates entry of 250 kHz (and of course 192 kHz=
) which will support USB audio class compliant ultrasound microphones under=
Windows Vista and Windows 7. The Windows audio subsystem will automaticall=
y re-sample the internal sample rates of such audio class compliant devices=
to the selected rate.
The software is available at http://www.avisoft.com/downloads.htm
and the direct link to its installation program is http://www.avisoft.com/s=
