Subject: | [Nature Recordists] Classical Music depicting Bird Song |
From: | Neville Recording <> |
I have been asked to appear on a local radio show to discuss bird song in classical music and play examples. I have copies of the Lark Ascending by R= alph Vaughan Williams and The Swan by Saint- Saen but very little else. The cell= o concerto by Dvorjak reminds me of migrating geese but I'm not sure if that = was in the composer's mind. Does anyone have any suggestions of pieces that I might introduce into the= programme, depicting bird song? I'm not on till the end of July so have ple= nty of time to come up with more examples.I might also be able to play a couple= of real bird song recordings! Many Thanks John Neville Salt Spring Island BC |
