If not doable, would a Tascam DR-07 be a better choice than Remembird? (without mics)? Laurent, I've got the bells and whistles version, the Tascam DR-1 but the built-in mics are naff for bird recording. The handling and wind noise is bad, even with a windshield, and the hiss level is high. There are two mics promising stereo, but even that is poor. The recording quality is good, and I use mine with an expensive mic and mixer rig. Nowadays it's the mics that are the weak link. I haven't used a Remembird, but it is made for its purpose and in comparison I don't think the Tascam will do the same job.
