Disc Error

I record using a Tascam CD RW-700 machine that has started to show signs of=
 age. It will read and write some new discs fine, but others start with an =
error, "Disc error!" At that point one cannot use the disc to record; on ra=
re occasion the message come up on partially recorded discs. On the partial=
 disc I have started to finalize the disc to prevent future difficulties.

Has anyone had similar problems with a CD recorder? I have tried different =
discs and it seems to be a random difficulty. Otherwise the recordings are =
fine.
