Hi Nathan..
With a view to mastering - are your recordings wav files? also you say the =
recordings have been arranged on a timeline - does this mean the hour of so=
unds is one long track? I'm assuming the sounds would have been recorded at=
 different times? The idea of mastering is to get the different sounds sitt=
ing together in order to make the listening experience pleasureable eg noth=
ing leaping out and then dropping too quiet etc. this might work better if =
the recordings were separated into different tracks.. Also are you intendin=
g to have copies made of your recordings for sale etc or just a master for =
personal use? The mastering process is the same for music speech or indeed =
wildlife recordings - but it helps if the engineer has a working knowledge =
of the sounds he is dealing with.
