t Date: Fri Jul 23, 2010 3:19 am ((PDT)) Thanks again everyone, it has been=C2=A0an interesting conversation on stor= age when you are away for a while. I purchased an extra 8 gig=C2=A0card=C2=A0and am = going to take my lap top, download the files daily, which should do=C2=A0the trick. That = way no=C2=A0worry on losing the files. I remember a backpacking trip a few year= s ago where I slipped and fell into a river smashing my camera (I am a landscape= painter). But as=C2=A0broken and soaked the camera was the SD card held up = and all my images for work back in the studio were safe. Going into a remote area with= a backpack and sound gear, dragging along a lap=C2=A0top would be a pain! Tec= hnology is amazing, it really is packable. The area i am headed to is a marine nationa= l park, with nesting sea bird colonys and an abundant population of whales including Beluga's. Now I wish i had those hydrophones! cheers all Mark =C2=A0 |
