Hi,
Thank you Dan, its something I'd not focused on. I threw the RainMic i=
n the local river a few days later, three times. Before that it had been in=
a bucket of water for 42 minutes.
Heres a rather cheesy test I made. I like the wind noise rushing past the m=
ic as a threw it in :)
Recorded with the Olympus LS10.

I'd like to imagine the location without the traffic din. Stone localisatio=
n test is a bit off for 12 and 2...:)
Unfortunately the design is not quite elephant proof, Im working on that - =
trying to find a source of reinforced unobtainium.
Current checklist is getting full..
Waterproof - check
Stereo - check
Low noise - check estimated at 14-17dBA (depends on PIP supply voltage & av=
ailable current from the recorder)
High Sensitivity - check > 50mV/PA on the Sony D50.
Camouflage - fur covering, or black no cover.
Price - low enough to replace if you do run into an elephant.
I'll post examples of more recordings upon returning from the trip in a cou=
ple of weeks.
BR
Mike.
