If you have two microphones as follows

Microphone one (M1) has a sensitivity of 13mV/pa
Microphone two (M2) has a sensitivity of 10mV/Pa

Formula is a 20xLog equation
(20 x log(M1/M2))

Therefore microphone two needs
(20 x Log(13/10)) =3D 2.2dB more gain to match microphone one

in the Australian magazine 'Audio Technology' Issue 40
