Here is another Cayman Island soundscape, this time from Little
Cayman. I placed 2 sets of microphones on a coral beach while in the
middle of a thunderstorm. With very little settlement on the islands
it becomes your own personal solitude. Little Cayman is the least
populated of the 3 islands. At the end of this recording you can hear
West Indian Whistling ducks disperse.

This was recorded on a coral beach south of the island, with the
endings of a thunderstorm that greeted the island. Cicadas sing in the
protected scrub. Gulls flee from the crack of the thunder. Little
Cayman is the least populated of the 3 islands making it a dream to
record this time of year. West Indian Whistling ducks can be heard at
the end of the recording flying by.
