If the barrel is plugged into phantom power, and you connect the T-power mic to it, the mic is presented with a 48V spike before the voltage drops to 12V. This exceeds the rating of the caps in Sennheiser mics, tho it doesn't usually damage them... Connect mic to supply first, then barrel to phantom, or even better connect with phantom off. -Dan |
