A Cheaper option is using hogs hair. Used in furniture manufacture this
is rubber coated hogs hair. A sheet folded over the top of your rycote
will absorb the impact and not sound. This has been used for years by
sound recordists . Essentialy those products meantioed are a take on the
same idea.
