I just wanted to tell the group of the passing of Eric Simms, I found out he died at the age of 87 on March 1st. I had worked with Eric in the early 1980's and regarded him as one of the pioneers of the natural word. He was an amazing person and one i considered a mentor. It was people like Eric that hooked me into recording the natural soundscapes at a very early age, His work will live on forever.
