Yes, LOTS of possibilities in that range! Tannoy, Blue Sky, M audio, = etc etc. Look at this: <http://www.sweetwater.com/c405--Active_Monitors/low2high/all> and these are just the powered kind. I use Blue Sky system 1 (2.1 set), $1800 list, $900 secondhand... So many choices the mind boggles.
