There are over a hundred recordings on the disc. Each species has each of =
its different types
of vocalizations represented in a very short period of time, very tightly e=
dited, so that you
get a good idea of what that species sounds like. The recordings are reall=
y good, but they
are short, and didactic more than anything.

Now the photos on the other hand are works of art. There are some truly in=
credible photos
in here, masterworks really. The book is full of them. The photos are muc=
h more than
didactic. There are a handful of people that really know how to get stunni=
ng photos of frogs
and toads, and several of them have their very best photos in their life in=
 this book.

The text and explanation is written in a very to the point and basic style,=
 for the general
audience.

George
