Thanks for the thoughts - I know it's quite close to home for you too.
The Victorian recordists I know of are all ok... Andrew Skeoch
certainly is as he presented a fantastic talk on recording and
birdsong to the Melbourne branch of Birds Australia last night.
Howard Plowright was also present and he's been in contact with all
the local AWSRG members and reported they were all fine.
The fires are still burning and Melbourne has been blanketed in smoke
haze today. It's going to be sometime before it's possible to get a
sense of how much impact there has been on the wildlife.
