MR1000

Hi all, not sure this is the place to post this but if anyone is
useing one of these recorders may be able to offer some help.
 I appear to be shut out of my Korg MR1000 harddrive.
I have been trying to perform a data transfer of recordings from the
MR to my pc and can not get a USB connection established. I have tried
different cables and USB ports(all USB2 I might add) to no avail.
The audio gate software has also shut me out of my other recordings. I
constantly get a prompt to register and that a Cypress driver(RC42
something or rather which I find out is something like an eprom if
that means anything to anyone?) is required however I have had no luck
getting this driver and am concerned that the korg harddrive may be
corrupted or failed. So the device may need a new harddrive and
reformatting.
Anyway on the off chance that someone on this group may know something
about any of these things could offer a few clues as to what sort of
problem I am dealing with here....in case there is some last things or
procedures to try before sending it back to local agent for repairs.
