Hello Folks,
I just realized I had signed up but overlooked introducing myself.
I'm new to nature recording. I live in the foothills of the
BlueRidge mountains ( upstate South Carolina). An old Sony mini-disc,
an early Edirol R1 were my first pieces equipment. A pair of
omni-mics from CoreSound were starters for recording my live acoustic
music buddies( old-time, fiddles, banjos and such, one of those
required cultural things here in the hills.<Grin>)
This year has been good so now I'm sporting a Fostex FR2-LE souped up
by Doug Oade. My current field mic is a Rode NT4. Originally
obtained for for the local live music capture, now pressed into to
true "field" use.
Windscreen question / recommendation request: Does anyone use the
Micover "Puffin" series with the NT4? If so, which size / model of
the Puffin to use?
OTH, Is the Rode 'Deadcat" effective?
Thanks to everyone in advance for humoring yet another newbie.
