Hi Alan! I just checked mine, and found that the gap BETWEEN the two slots was Message: 34mm. Subject: I think 30mm would be fine, particularly if using a less than heavyweight cable, which would allow a tighter bend before creating a downward stress on the cable prior to the 'lock'. A file is certainly a safe bet and simple solution.
