Rob, the C4000B has noise spec of 8 dBA - pretty darn quiet!

It isn't new at all, nor cheap:

They cost around $650, and I only mention it because I have a pair,
and they do have an omni position. Mine are pretty old and need work,
so I should send them in for a tweak and try them out...
