I'll measure a couple of DPA 4060 mics and a >couple of Countryman B3 mics. It's taking a little longer than I thought to get this done, but I have the= test results for the DPA4060, powered with the DPA battery pack, going directly in to my Audio Precision analyzer. I measured two samples, a matched pair. Sensitivity (spec =3D -34 dBV/Pa): sample 1: -33.76 dBV/Pa sample 2: -33.58 dBV/Pa Self Noise (spec =3D 23 dBA) sample 1: 22.87 dBA sample 2: 22.77 dBA These two microphones are extraordinarly close to their specifications. Next I'll measure two Countryman B3 microphones. Both of these types are appropriate for making binaural recordings if means are found for holding them in the user's ears. Eric |
