Woodpecker i.d. help please

Dear friends, (sorry for the cross-posting for those who watch both
groups, not sure of the best way to do this these days).

I hate recording new sounds when I cannot see the beast. Yesterday I
think I recorded a Middle Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos medius)a
species rather rare in these parts. I am pretty convinced of the i.d.
but as I did not see the caller I would love the opinion of anyone who
is familiar with the bird.

It is not a stunning recording but interesting from the species point
