Well based on the manuals, preliminary user reports, and Raimund's excellent tests, it looks as if we are getting closer to the ideal ultra-portable recorder. For many users, the lower input noise, quieter built-in mics, 5 second prerecord buffer, and digital inputs, of the PCM-D50 will certainly be worth the extra $150. However, the LS-10 is half the size and weight and can handle higher capacity (8gb vs 4gb) memory cards. John Hartog |
