Has anyone had any hands-on experience with the new Edirol r-44 yet ?
any opinions (good & especially bad !)

Apparently it has the same pre-amps as the R-4pro so if anyone out
there has one of those or has used one & can offer any comments on
that aspect.

I'm about to take the plunge & buy a new recorder - so far SD702 is at
the top of the list, so send me reassurance because my head is going
to explode with all the pro's & con's with the different recorders out
there now. I haven't heard a bad word from anyone about the SD
machines, so that says a lot of course, but i'm keen to know whether
this new r-44 is worth a few hours serious consideration too.

ta,
Jez
