>...there does not seem to be a way to get the 6-channel output directly to a multitrack recorder... The Holophone H4 Supermini (the $2500 model) can output each track individually. Holophone's literature says, "Six line-level Analog outputs one per channel available from three stereo 3.5mm female Mini- plug Jacks." I'm guessing here, but I think the six pin mini-XLR on the PortaMic Message: 5. Subject: 1 provides the same one-mic-per-channel function. Why would they include the six pin XLR output if it did not? The question I have is, how do the PortaMic and Supermini differ from each other? The large difference in price suggests that a cheaper mic capsule is used in the PortaMic. --oryoki |
