Hi John

I'm involved with a project that studies fishers - basic home range, habita=
t
use, denning requirement stuff, including live trapping and radio telemetry=
.
The project is in its 4th year. The contractors working on the project have
10-15 years of experience working with the animal. The only noise I've ever
heard fishers make is a low 'chuck-chuck-chuck' noise (unlike the martens w=
e
often capture, which snarl like Tasmanian devils). I'll ask the crew if
they've heard anything different and will contact you off-list.

Greetings Naturerecordists,
I am looking for a sound clip of a Fisher (cat)(Martes pennanti) for
my own interest.
Several years ago I captured a call that I believe is that of a fisher
but am not positive. The call I have is a blood curdling sound that you
would never forget, quite disturbing.
I would like to listen to a recording that is definately that of the
critter.
No commercial use, or public replay, including response replay is
guaranteed.
If you can help please contact me off list at

Thank you,
J.
