Microsoft released Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Vista last week. I've read reports that a few device drivers that worked under Vista no longer work under SP1. This problem will be more likely for devices from small companies that lack the engineering resources to test and develop drivers until the final version of SP1 became available. That may include companies that make audio interfaces for PCs. Bottom line: Check about your hardware device drivers' compatibility before upgrading to SP1. Or just wait for a few weeks before upgrading to give time for problems to be uncovered and resolved. --oryoki |
