This article came to my attention today: http://www.boston.com/news/science/articles/2008/01/21/the_internal_orchestra_of_the_earth/ It discusses the work of John Bullitt, who has been adjusting the time and frequency scale of seismograph recordings to produce audible sound. This is a rather unusual type of nature recording, but the results are surprisingly pleasing. Ed |
