For those contemplating the recording of remaining orangs in Borneo or Sumatra, a word of caution, especially those of a distaff persuasion. We were warned while working on site a few years back that there were several instances of female researchers having been attacked by sexually active orangs. Of course, at first, we dismissed this as a fantasy and a joke...that is, of course, until it actually happened to someone we knew. Even then... But now, here's some new info FYI. http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7008642190 See all stories on this topic: <http://news.google.com/news?hl=3Den&ncl=3Dhttp://www.allheadlinenews.com/= articles/7008642190> Bernie Krause Wild Sanctuary POB 536 Glen Ellen, CA 95442 707-996-6677 http://www.wildsanctuary.com Google Earth zooms: Earth.WildSanctuary.com |
